The Complete Guide to Metamorphosis Centre for Change: Your Four-Step Journey to Transformation

Discover the four essential steps to true recovery at the Metamorphosis Centre for Change. From the moment you step into our world to your lifelong aftercare, you’re supported, empowered, and equipped to transform your life for good.

You are not just overcoming addiction or behavioral challenges—you are reclaiming your life. Recovery is a journey, and with the right tools and the right team beside you, anything is possible. At Metamorphosis, we believe in giving you more than just treatment—we give you the foundation for a lifetime of success.

Addiction Recovery Step 1: Pre-Admission – Take the First Step Toward Your New Life

Everything starts with a single decision. That first phone call to our Client Care Coordinator at 1-888616-1678 is where your journey begins. This isn’t just about gathering information—this is the moment you take control of your future.

During this initial consultation, we’ll make sure the program is the perfect fit for you or your loved one. Once you’re ready, we guide you through a pre-admission process over the phone, where your intake date is set. You’ll receive everything you need—confirmation of treatment, what to bring, and answers to any lingering questions.

The day before your intake, we reach out one last time to make sure you’re fully prepared to embark on this transformative journey. Because we’re in this with you, every step of the way.

Step 2: Intake – Welcome to Metamorphosis

The day you arrive at our center in Wasaga Beach is the day you step into your transformation. From the moment you walk through our doors, you’re greeted with care, compassion, and an unshakable belief in your potential.

After completing essential paperwork and a thorough medical assessment (including COVID testing and safety measures), you’ll be welcomed by our community—staff and fellow clients—who are all committed to helping you succeed.

This is where your journey truly begins. You’re not just another face; you’re part of a family, and together, we’re going to make sure you thrive.

Step 3: The Program – Your Pathway to Lifelong Change

Transformation is about more than just getting clean or managing symptoms—it’s about becoming the person you were always meant to be. Our program is designed to meet you where you are and guide you to where you need to be, with flexibility to adapt to your unique needs.

You’ll engage in:

  • Group Therapy: Three daily sessions during the week focused on mindfulness, emotional healing, and personal growth. On weekends, you’ll still have two group therapy sessions to keep the momentum going.
  • One-on-One Therapy: You’ll have twice-weekly sessions with your personal therapist, ensuring that your journey is uniquely yours.
  • Family Therapy: Healing doesn’t just happen alone. We offer bi-weekly family sessions, with weekly support available for your loved ones because their journey is part of your success.
  • Holistic Practices: From yoga to Tai Chi to improving your sleep routines, we’ll make sure your body and mind are healing together. You’ll have access to the gym and wellness activities that keep you strong—inside and out.

We don’t just help you break old patterns; we help you fall in love with change. You’ll leave not just sober or healed—you’ll leave empowered to live a life filled with purpose.

Step 4: Graduation & Aftercare – Your Lifelong Commitment to Success

Graduation isn’t the end—it’s just the beginning. You’ve done the hard work in our program, but your journey continues. At Metamorphosis, we’re committed to walking with you for life, and we mean that. Our aftercare program is second to none, offering:

  • Weekly Online Support for Life: You’ll have two weekly online groups—one for graduates and one for your family. Because success is a lifelong journey, and you don’t have to walk it alone.
  • Regular Check-ins: Your primary counselor will stay in touch over the next two years, ensuring that you always have the support you need.
  • Continued Therapy: If you want to continue your journey with your therapist, we make that possible. Weekly in-person sessions are available for those who want to keep working on their growth.

Because when you graduate from Metamorphosis, you’re not just finishing a program—you’re stepping into the next chapter of your life, fully equipped for success.

I don’t even where to start… from the first day walking through those doors in tears, as a severely depressed and emotionally/mentally broken person. I was very skeptical and couldn’t bring myself to think I could change or “get better”… Committing to the Metamorphosis program literally saved my life as I was in my darkest times and felt like I was about to give up and let the darkness take my life. Within my 30 days, I obtained new life skills, tools to use to better myself, made incredible new friends, and got back on a healthier track, diet and fitness wise. ALL of the onsite counsellors are beyond amazing at what they do. Really getting to know everyone and understand our own personal struggles to help with coping skills and overcoming any challenge we wanted to overcome. I feel blessed and forever grateful to have had an amazing self transformation thanks to everyone that guided and helped me with my journey. Frank & Chris.. I can’t thank you enough for creating the most amazing place for someone to feel so safe and cared for while in transition for a better life. Metamorphosis will forever be a part of me!

I cannot stress enough how amazing this center is.Frank and Chris are incredible at what they do and how they treat people. The counselors such as Vicky,Sara,Jeff,Troy,Jenn,Rick,Punkty, gary and have helped me drastically. The support works Dayna,Gina,Julie,Joe,Pam and Gary are also very kind and amazing people. The overnight staff are also very kind. I cannot stress enough how good the nursing staff such as Kelly, Emily,Katie, and Tammy have also helped me so much. The executive secretary Carrie is very organized and is amazing at her job. When I came into this place I was a broken person and I look at myself now I'm still not a 100 percent but I'm definitely alot better than I was. I owe that not only to myself and family but also to metamorphosis center for change. If I could give this place 6 stars I honestly would. Also shout out to the kitchen staff I did not have one bad meal in my 45 day stay.

I can't say enough good things about my time at metamorphosis! It truly was transformative. I came in for the 2 week in-person and 2-week virtual program and ended up staying for a month in-person and I couldn't be happier with my decision! Everybody who works there is passionate, knowledgeable and most importantly, caring of all those who stay there. I truly felt safe from the moment I walked in to the moment I left. All of the counsellors are amazing but I do need to give a BIG shout out to Rick - don't let his gruff demeanour throw you off, that man has a heart of gold and did more for me in 1 month than years of therapy did. My biggest advice for those considering staying at the centre is do the work, dig deep knowing that you're supported and you'll be come out on the other side stronger than ever. The food there is great - the chefs are wonderful and caring! You won't starve while you're there. The days are generally busy but you'll find some downtime thrown in too which is really good in terms of setting you up for success when you leave. There are plenty of activities to do while you're there from yoga - taichi - gym, arts, etc. They do really tailor the treatment to your needs, something I truly appreciated! Finally, the amount of 1 on 1 support you get is amazing - counsellors, therapists, doctors and psychiatrists! The nurses are also wonderful and very attentive to your needs.I could keep going but I'll just end by saying that my only regret was not going sooner (though I think I went just when I needed to).

I recently graduated the 30day program at metamorphosis and all I can say is my life has completely changed. I walked through that side door a broken, defeated version of myself feeling like the biggest loser in life. Full of shame, with no self- worth or self- respect. I left with my head held high, loving my life and who I am. The authentic me had emerged. I was willing to listen, willing to do the work, I focused on myself, dug deep and used the tools provided. Rick my primary counselor helped me along my journey. Through his experience and vulnerability I shared my experiences and finally allowed myself to be vulnerable. Rick taught me the word perservance. Although it was me who did the work if it wasn't for Rick and his ability to make me feel safe, capable, worthy and deserving I wouldn't be where I am today. I can not begin to thank everyone at Metamorphosis. Each and every person there has touched my life in one way or another. From doing my mirror work ( thank you Jenn) to sharing mom stuff (thank you Sarah) to learning how to ground myself when I'm struggling with emotions (thank you Troy) to letting me process aloud at the desk and just listening (thank you Jeff) to allowing my inner child to flourish (thank you Vicky) you have all touched my heart in some way. I would also like to thank the night staff, the nursing staff, the support workers, the cooks and the house keepers and anyone else I have left out. I'm so grateful to have had this experience with all of you. I miss you all so much already. But it's not goodbye it's see you later. To whomever may be reading this and is looking for help... if I could offer you one piece of advice..... you deserve a chance to find the authentic version of you, so don't wait any longer. You are braver then you think ❤️

First off, I'd like to thank Frank & Chris for starting such a wonderful place to help those in need. I stayed a month at Meta after many, many years of physical abuse, and a debilitating car accident that just pushed me over the edge. The facilities are clean, the food is amazing, the nurses are all wonderful (shout out to Tam Tam the night nurse, and Sedonia, you ladies made me feel so welcome!). They give each patient 2 councilors, a primary and a secondary. My primary was Vicky. She may seem a little rough around the edges, but that woman has a heart of gold. She was and still to this day, is there whenever I need her. Just a phone call away. Jeff, my secondary, is the easiest person I've ever spoken to. I told him my entire life's story, which I had never shared in full with ANYONE, let alone some guy I'd just met. He is one in a million, and anyone who gets either of them should count themselves lucky. You are also given a doctor, psychiatrist, and psychotherapist. They match you with who they think you will vibe with the most. All 3 of mine were dead on. If you do happen to get someone you don't click with, just ask, and you will be assigned a new one. The centre tailors the program to each person's individual needs. They cover everything, mentally, spiritually, and body. 2 nights a week, they do NA or AA. These are not mandatory for those who do not vibe with the whole God thing, so they have a separate class run by usually Jeff, which is based on your own spiritual beliefs. This place is like no other rehabilitation center I've ever heard of or encountered. They actually care about YOU as an individual, as opposed to their success rates (which is why I beleive their success rate is SO HIGH) I'd like to add a few special mentions to councilors who were not mine, but still helped me in ways I will never forget. Rick, the lead councilor, is an amazing, no bullshit type of guy, and I think we need more people like him in this world. Troy, even though he was off sick for a week and a half while I was there, ran some of the best groups ever and helped me with some paperwork I didn't quite understand. Sarah is just an angel, always there with a smile on her face, willing to help you with anything you need. Gina, the new intern, is just amazing. She brought us to the beach countless times, and we had some wonderful chats. Jenn had some amazing classes as well, and I learned quite a bit from her. I now need to go purchase copper rods to read people's energy circles 😅 that class was so cool! There are a couple more who's names I can't think of off the top of my head, but I love you all, and thank you again, from the bottom of my heart! I would also like to thank Adam the maintenance guy for escorting us to Tim Hortons on our daily walks, and for the great conversations we always had, as well as Kerri at the front desk who greeted me with a smile every morning. Also, Teresinha in the kitchen, who was always praying for us, Kwan and Richard the chefs for the amazing food and conversation, and Joyce. And Elizabeth, I hope she's healing well from her injury. I miss her bumping the 2Pac at 8 a.m., lol. I will definitely be back as an alumni for the BBQ, not as a patient. I want to finish off by saying there is not a single person on staff who you can't relate to on some level. This makes it feel like home. Thank you again, Frank and Chris, for opening this amazing place. I am forever grateful to you for giving me my life back. 🦋❤️🦋

Rick, and everyone else, needs a raise:)This place helped me turn my life around and helped me find my hope. I entered those doors so lost that all I knew is I needed somewhere that would help me find myself again. I am better than the version of myself that I thought my addiction took, and that's an insane thing to think of. I believe the universe took me there, it put me where I needed to be with exactly who I needed to be with, staff and clients alike. If you become a client of Rick's, he has a dress code of high socks and shorts. ;)Thank you so much for giving me everything I have and need to tackle this thing called life!! I'm winning now, no one can break me but me. I can conquer the world thanks to those who brought me to life again♡I love all of you, miss all of you and I hope whomever reads this when they need it finds this helpful!Judith♡♡

There are not enough words to describe how life changing my stay at metamorphosis was.. I found me finally after years of searching in all the wrong places. I was and am loved there by all staff, food was made to fuel the soul and the counsellors are immaculate. I could not have asked for better help to make every day now a blessing. I especially thank Rick and Sarah for helping me see that the version of myself they first met was only a version. They helped me save myself from past scars that still affected my day to day life. I found my people and learned to trust because of these two individuals. Rick is like a father to me now and Sarah always reminds me how special I am anytime I see or hear from her :).Chris and Frank accommodated my needs whenever I was struggling and always praised me for my improvements.Troy, Jeff, Vicky and Jenn helped me whenever I asked and were there anytime I needed someone. My new found family, you really are angels. Thank you so so so much Meta for being my safe place through all these rough years.

I want to acknowledge Andrea Robillard as amazing Interventionist who placed a loved one at this location. Our experience with this facility was exceptional. They were loving and supportive of our loved one from the moment of arrival. Frank the owner was patient And understanding of the apprehension and resistance of our loved one. He was accommodating and supportive throughout the process which was very reassuring to our family. We felt as though our needs were heard and being met during a very emotional and distressing time.I want to shout out to Vicky who went over and above to support our loved one and made a genuine connection which will forever be appreciated. Vicky was instrumental in providing comfort and understanding to our loved one firstly and most importantly, than to our entire family. Vicky's knowledge, support, understanding and compassion made a very difficult experience manageable and affected change with everyone involved. You come to a treatment centre for change and we got it! We can't thank Vicky enough for her support and commitment to everyone involved! She made a huge difference in a short time, that is skill and someone in right line of work !!It is important to say that this centre truly gets the needs of their clients and will work uniquely with each situation. At a time when emotions and fear are so high, this is exactly the response people need. To be heard and understood and treated uniquely.Thank you Frank and Vicky, and everyone else for being there for us and making a huge change in a short time frame. We couldn't have asked for a better experience during such a scary time in our lives. Much much gratitude and appreciation for this centre and their sincere concern and commitment to each client that comes through their door ! I highly recommend this treatment team for anyone struggling with addiction. They know their stuff and are there for you 150 %!
